About the role
Interns help protect the systems and infrastructure behind QRT's trading activity across security engineering, detection and response, vulnerability management and assurance. Projects may include triage agents, lab reproduction of attack techniques, vulnerability research and automation.
What you will do
- Help build triage agents that support security investigations
- Reproduce emerging attack techniques in a lab to test detections
- Conduct vulnerability research and security reviews with engineering teams
- Build tooling and automation for security assurance
What they ask for
- Penultimate or final-year Bachelor's/Master's student in a STEM field such as Cyber Security or Computing
- Programming/scripting experience, preferably Python or Bash
- Linux command-line proficiency
- Understanding of security principles and networking (TCP/IP, Ethernet)
- Must be a penultimate or final-year student
Nice to have
- Monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
- Personal projects, open-source or academic work showing interest
